This week I focused on getting Critical Reaction’s MVP playable loop complete. The goal was to make sure the experience works end-to-end in Unity, connecting all of the systems into a gameplay cycle where the player can start a run, perform the core lab interactions, and successfully finish an order.
I finished the remaining pieces needed to validate the loop, including the Delivery Point, so orders can now be completed properly from start to finish. This was the key milestone of the week because it confirms the game’s structure is working and ready for expansion.
Alongside the MVP completion, I added several quality-of-life features that make the game feel more usable during play. The biggest addition was a multiplayer-safe Pause Menu with the essentials (Resume, Restart, Controls, Quit).
I also improved readability and usability during gameplay by creating the core HUD layout so players have clear feedback and structure while playing the game. With the HUD in place, future iterations can focus on refinement and polish instead of reworking the interface on every major change.
